New E-TECH Caucus Represents Gamers in Congress
Congress — like any representative system — is a game with many different players and teams.
Today, the computer and video game community has a powerful new team in Congress called the Congressional Caucus for Competitiveness in Entertainment Technology, or E-TECH.
The bipartisan caucus, led by U.S. Representatives Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Kevin Brady, will promote the economic, educational and social benefits of video games.
This is big news from Washington, and we're telling the VGVN community first. We need your help to make this caucus as large and powerful as possible.
Tell your Representative to join the team by becoming part of the E-TECH Caucus.
With the help of the caucus, we can show people the economic and social impacts of computer and video games:
- In 2010, computer and video games contributed $24 billion in sales to the U.S. economy.
- The computer and video games industry employs 120,000 Americans in high-paying jobs in 34 states.
- Computer and video games help soldiers rehabilitate, keep seniors active, and educate our children.
